FALL ASSISTED LIVING SEMINAR
The Oklahoma Assisted Living Association meets monthly with the Oklahoma State Department of Health. In these meetings we have discussed some of the most cited deficiencies and concerns they are seeing in assist- ed livings, as well as how we can partner to make Assisted Living better in Oklahoma. From these meetings and with their assistance, we have developed this training agenda.
ASSISTED LIVING ADMISSION CRITERIA
Admitting Residents into an assisted living community isn’t always an easy process. In this session we will cover admission regulations/rules; your company’s admission policies and how or if they differ from state regulations/rules.
AGING IN PLACE
In 2007, the Amended Licensure Rules became effective allowing residents to age in place. We will revisit this amendment and what it means; how it applies to your community; and discuss Plans of Accommodations.
HOSPICE IN ASSISTED LIVING
One of Assisted Living’s biggest partner is Hospice. We will be covering the Hospice part- nership and how they are crucial in caring for your resident’s as they Age in Place.
Sometimes it is very clear when you can no longer meet a resident’s needs. But sometimes we struggle with making that decision. This session we will be taking a deep look into meeting resident’s needs; when it is time to discharge; and what is the discharge process.
NEW AL REGULATIONS & RULES
2017 brings new Regulations and Rules for Assisted Living. Learn about these rules; when they will/have become effective; and how it will effect your assisted living community’s operations.
