This course is designed to enable assisted living community management to prepare for their state survey and implement a program to remain prepared. These elements and tools for an effective mock survey will be reviewed to include checklists for dietary, nursing, pharmacy, personnel, and environmental services. We will also review various methods to conduct a mock survey to ensure effectiveness. Frequently found deficiencies will be discussed as well as programs or solutions to avoid them.
Class participants will be given a crash course on Chapter 663 Continuum of Care and Assisted Living Rules and Act (surveyor edition) and will bring home a binder that will quickly become a vital reference tool in day-to-day operations.
