Call for Presentation

OKALA Education Seminar and Tradeshow

March 26-27, 2019

Midwest City, Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Assisted Living Association invites you to submit a speaker proposal for our 2019 Spring Education Conference and Tradeshow to be held March 26-27 at The Reed Center in Midwest City, Ok. The educational program for the conference is being designed to ensure the attendees leave each session equipped with effective strategies to achieve operational excellence in assisted living.

SPEAKER SELECTION

Speakers will be chosen based upon the following criteria:

• Quality, timeliness and value of content

• Relevance to the needs of OKALA members and conference attendees

• Speaker Fees & Travel

NOTE: In an effort to keep registration fees at a minimum, the OKALA Conference operates on a limited speaker budget. Therefore, speakers who will waive the request for honorarium or fees will be given top priority.

SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES

Submissions may be individual presentations, group presentations or panels. OKALA reserves the right to combine proposed topics & presenters.

Individuals or groups may submit more than one proposal.

Submitting a proposal does not guarantee that your presentation will be selected. OKALA reserves the right to make final

presentation selections and edit abstracts. Speaker/presentation chosen will be notified by January 11, 2019.

Presenters may NOT use a presentation as an opportunity to spotlight a company, product or service.

Presenters who are selected to speak at the OKALA Seminar and Trade Show agree to abide by ALL deadlines set forth by the Conference Committee/OKALA Executive Director.

WHO ATTENDS THE ANNUAL CONVENTION & TRADE SHOW?

The OKALA Seminar and Tradeshow reaches an audience of approximately 100+ professionals representing assisted living communities. Our audience represents all disciplines from both independent and multi-facility organizations and both not- for-profit and proprietary organizations. Attendees mostly include Owners, Regional Directors, Administrators, Nurses, Business Office Mgs, Activity Directors, Dietary Supervisors/Managers and Maintenance.

We strive to put together an energetic and well-balanced educational program to appeal to our diverse audience and make their learning experience the best it can be. The 2019 OKALA Conference and Tradeshow promises great exposure for you or your company. Speaking to this unique group is a great opportunity to get involved, lead the profession and share your areas of expertise.
